Ana Gasteyer is an actress who voices Reirei from The Lion Guard.

Biography

Gasteyer is the daughter of Phil Gasteyer, a lobbyist and the former mayor of Corrales, New Mexico, and Mariana Roumell-Gasteyer, an artist.[1][2] She attended Sidwell Friends School and graduated from Northwestern University School of Communication in 1989.[3]

Gasteyer first dabbled in comedy with The Groundlings, an improvisational and sketch comedy troupe based in Los Angles, California. In 1996, she joined Saturday Night Live, playing popular characters such as Celine Dion and Martha Stewart. After six seasons, Gasteyer moved on to other pursuits in film, stage musicals, and television.

In addition to being in films such as Mean Girls, Gasteyer played key roles in several stage musicals, originating the role of Elphaba in the Chicago sit-down production of Wicked. She was nominated for a Jefferson Award for her performance.[4] Other stage performances she has starred in include Damn Yankees, Girl Crazy, Passion, and The Royal Family.

Personal life

Gasteyer is married to Charlie McKittrick, with whom she has a son, Ulysses, and a daughter, Frances.
