"A Beautiful Day (Ni Siku Nzuri)" is a song composed by Beau Black for The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar. It was released on January 8, 2016, as part of the television film's soundtrack.

Use

In the soundtrack

Beau Black served as the composer of the 2015 television film The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar as well as its inspired television series, The Lion Guard.[1] "A Beautiful Day (Ni Siku Nzuri)" was released on January 8, 2016, as part of The Lion Guard (Music from the TV Series), an album comprised of songs from both the film and the series. Black provided vocals for the song.[2][3]

In the television film

"A Beautiful Day (Ni Siku Nzuri)" is the first song heard in The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar. It plays early in the television film, picking up immediately after Kion and Bunga take their game of Baobab Ball away from Pride Rock, where Simba is delivering a royal lesson to Kiara. The song carries through their romp through the Pride Lands and ends just as Bunga is heaved from Fuli's back and pinned to the ground by Kion.

Lyrics

Beau Black:
It's a good day to have some fun to run and play
The sun's so hot, it melts my worries all away
I'm gonna take it easy, got no reason to work all day
Oh, I'm gonna keep on smiling, keep on riding all the way
Come on, I'll tell ya

Chorus:
Ni siku njema
Matata yako bali
Ni siku njema
Kimbiana furahi

Beau Black:
Come play with me, and we'll run free
Through the Pride Lands, up to the highest tree
Gotta live for fun, it's the only way
It's a beautiful, it's a beautiful day
(Ni siku nzuri!)
It's a beautiful, it's a beautiful day
(Ni siku nzuri!)

It's a good day to have some fun to run and play
I'm gonna take my time, gonna live my life a different way
Come on, now

Chorus:
Ni siku njema
Matata yako bali
Ni siku njema
Kimbiana furahi

Beau Black:
Come play with me, and we'll run free
Through the Pride Lands, up to the highest tree
Gotta live for fun, it's the only way
It's a beautiful, it's a beautiful day
