Seeing as the voices of Zazu and Scar are predominantly British roles, are Jeff Bennett and Jim Cummings the only non-Brits to ever voice Zazu and Scar, respectively?
What's on your mind?
Can someone make a main page of this 2?
I would like to know how long Simba was in exile. (Moses was out of the Nile Valley for between 2 and 4 decades, then died over a century old.)
Hi and good evening, i would like to know how this wiki got the [show] and [hide] feature that is used to collapse tables? The reason why i am wanting to know because i tried to get the collapsing feature [show/hide] in my wiki but it didn't work. Is there anyway i can get that collapsing feature [show] and [hide] on my wiki?
Hey, all! I have a quick question.
For a project of mine, I've been looking for a specific piece of Scar concept art by Andreas Deja. After some digging, I was able to find the image, but it's not nearly as high-quality as I would like. However, I haven't been able to find any higher-quality copies of this image online. I was wondering: would anyone on here be willing to look for one? I'd really like to get a better image than the one I've located, but I feel like I've exhausted my sources. Here is the image:
EDIT: I'm really only looking for the art of Scar. His name doesn't need to be in the image.
Seeing that the T&P series is on Disney Plus in remastered high-definition, I've been thinking about updating the screencaps for the show. However, when I tried to capture the images by using Shift+Command+4 on my mac, all it gave me was a black background.
Does anyone know a way to capture the images?
Since the heading says "a question about the wiki, or the topic", I believe a question about wiki policies would fall under this, so I hope this is an acceptable place to broach the topic. I figure a forum would make more sense since it applies to overall policy and not any specific user.
This is largely a response to this November scare I experienced. I understand completely that administrators wield the power and make the final choices, but shouldn't anyone in the community feel free to ask questions? Special:BlockList and Special:Log/block are for all to see, after all, but there is a limited amount of room in the 'summary' field to understand the complex issues that lead to admin decisions.
I feel that understanding the history of law helps in both understanding and remembering the law, just like a history of science can help in understanding and remembering science. From experience, I just find that rules are easier to absorb (and explain to others) when they have the 'breathing' quality that comes from being able to look at them in action, rather than just knowing their letter.
This also helps with the eventual perfection of policy, as RAW (rules as written) can be amended to best express the RAI (rules as intended) and RAP (rules as practiced).
I would very much like to ask more specific questions here, but do not feel comfortable doing so in the presence of this warning (I do not want to be blocked). This is why I am just broadly asking about this policy in general, and if it might be rescinded so that discussion is allowed by all users about policy and how it was/is enforced, and not a subject that only admins are allows to discuss.
"Do not add any drama-based messages or topics." is one of the rules for message walls. I expect this is probably intended to apply to forums too (a good example of "intended" vs "written" potential difference).
This is one rule which I hope might eventually be elaborated, as what is 'drama' and what is a legitimate discussion seems like a pretty subjective thing to evaluate. While I realize personal interpretation by admins applies here, I am wondering if perhaps you might reach consensus about some principles on how to evaluate what is drama and what is not drama.
I expect you believe that there is, for example, a way for users to question admin action in a non-dramatic fashion. I hope that this is the way I am doing it, in a boring mechanical fashion which avoids the use of pejoratives that I have seen others throw at admins, which doesn't lead to a good place for anyone.
I think that in talking calmly and broadly here that it should be "unstirring", so to speak. That it is the wrong use of insults in past engagements which "stir" and by avoiding them, no drama results.
There are clearly past users who did engage with admins in a dramatic/emotional fashion, but I think it is possible to talk about those instances in a clinical sense which avoids those same mistakes, and actually treats them as teachable moments.
So I finally downloaded the new Lion King soundtrack and I can't wait to listen to it. I was curious to see what "Mbube" means, and the wiki says it means "lion" in Zulu. However, I thought that was what ingonyama meant from the Circle of Life. You'd think that because I live in South Africa I would be more familiar with this but now i'm confused. Is it like synonyms or something?
And I mean the one from the Activity Center.
1. While Nala does say to click on Simba to get him started, how do you get him moving? By pushing the arrow keys, or dragging the mouse cursor?
2. How does one manage to print a copy of the maze, and does the BEV (bird's eye view) of Simba ever appear there?
For the Animated Storybook for The Lion King, the narrator was the late James Avery. Where in that article should he be mentioned, and should he have an article of his own?
Is it just me, or do I vaguely remeber an image of The Lion Guard being leaked onto this wiki when it was announced? It wasn't just any old image, I remeber it was of the 5 main characters but with different designs than what they look like now. (No, not the Season 1 designs vs. the season 3 designs) The characters looked a little differnt from their main series designs. Especially Bunga who was black and looked more like an actual honey badger. Either this was their early designs or just an unofficial fan art.
But I swear I remember such an image with early designs...
I've found the image on Google Images when I typed in Lion Guard a few years ago but now I can't find it. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, it would help.
Okay, so, the red carpet premiere is streaming...where? And at what time? I can't really find any information about it online. :P
So I've been doing some digging on the soundtrack for the stage musical, and the Internet can't seem to decide when this thing was released. Clearly, it was in 1997, but as for a month and day, there are many conflicting sources. Does anyone have any idea when the official release date was and a source confirming so?
Just wanted to know if the wiki background is changed to the elephant graveyard scene for Halloween?
Lion Guard Wiki busy adding the photos of the species they're getting concept drawings or small Rafiki paintings of, one of way the other they've added more than five new species. and a few of the species make it hard to wait for season 3 to start. Does this wiki know what they are yet I can tell you if this wiki hasn't been told yet.
So there's this account on Facebook that frequently posts a lot of new stuff like episode synopses, videos, etc., and I'm having trouble figuring out whether or not they're officially affiliated with Disney. They look good, but there are certain posts, such as the one for World Elephant Day, that make me wonder. As seen with that fake remake account on Twitter, people can pull off some pretty convincing social media accounts.
Any thoughts on whether this account is official?
I've been trying to figure out where the deleted scenes from The Lion King II: Simba's Pride originated, but have had no luck. I checked the Amazon listings for the DVD releases of the film, but the deleted scenes do not appear to have been included as a feature. Does anyone know where the deleted scenes were released?
We can still change them to "Physical- and sociocultural characteristics" but I think it was important to have real life info. Yes, I know it does not concern in-universe but I think it's important for users on this wiki to have the opportunity to learn about the real life counterparts of animals in the franchise. Because not all species are necessarily portrayed correctly in the franchise (Fuli's design is completely wrong). So can we please keep any real-life info? Otherwise people might be learning incorrect info about species. Do we really want that?
I added a paragraph on the "Antelope" page titled "Examples of species" where I made a list of just a few examples of the different species of antelope. It kept always disappearing and everything I put it back on. Then I discovered I have been blocked by Pinkeony73 (Sorry for calling you out). I read that the reason for blocking me was that I was inserting gibberish/nonsense into the page. I don't understand why a list of examples of species of antelope would be considered nonsense/gibberish. I fail to see why. I just thought it would be an interesting little bit of trivia. Also, I inserted another example in "Appearances" category of a specific Lion Guard episode where klipspringers appear in, and that was removed too. If someone could please give me a better reason to why I have been blocked, I would appreciate it. Because I don't see why a list of examples is considered nonsense. Thank you..
